This rhum arrangé, made near Nantes from AOC rum from Martinique, combines fruit with chocolate.
It won a gold medal at the Concours Général Agricole in 2014.
Tasting tip from Cédric: swirl the rum around in your mouth. First you smell the banana, then the cocoa arrives and lingers in the mouth. We agree!
Laurent's tasting notes
Its color is a beautiful combination of copper and bronze.
On the nose, the different elements that make up this arrangé are clearly visible. First cocoa, then banana (here roasted) and finally vanilla. Needless to say, it's delicious.
On the palate, the first impression is of banana, quickly replaced by cocoa. The whole is very smooth.
The finish is fairly long and dominated by cocoa (including texture).

It's all a matter of personal taste - I don't like it.
Now that doesn't mean it's not good.
