The 2023 edition of Rhum Towt The Answer is an amber agricultural rum produced by the family-owned ReimonenQ distillery located in Sainte-Rose in the north of Basse Terre, Guadeloupe.
First, the rum was aged in foudre for a year. It was then transferred to Haut-Medoc organic wine barrels for the Atlantic crossing aboard a sailboat.
Dynamic refining at sea lasted around 4 months. The schooner AVONTUUR disembarked her cargo of rum at Fécamp on February 9, 2023.
This cuvée is certified with the Anemos label, a guarantee of authenticity for carbon-free transport. Each bottle bears a voyage number and a QR code giving access to the sailboat's GPS track, the distance covered during the voyage, and the logbook with photos and anecdotes.

Yoann's tasting notes
The nose is fine and elegant and offers floral notes. The tasting is marked by the freshness of the sugar cane cut at maturity. The notes of freshly pressed cane juice are carried to the nostrils. A slightly vinous and fruity side appears with aeration. The nose is very pleasant and offers remarkable complexity.
The mouth is greedy and fluid, the rum comes to impregnate the palate in the smallest corners with a certain finesse. Discreet spices are present with a vanilla side which takes over. This vanilla is creamy and pastry, slightly caramelized.
Some fruits like grapes are there with the vinous side of the nose which is also present in the mouth. The freshness of the cane is also back for our greatest pleasure.
The finish is sensual and sweet, it is a pleasant moment that this rum offers us. You will feel like you are biting into a piece of vanilla flan.

Exceptional rum.
