Zero Nine Spirits presents its second selection of cognac from the cellars of the Grosperrin house in Saintes, Charente-Maritime.
This eau-de-vie was distilled in 1980 in the Cognac Bon Bois Contrôlée appellation. It was bottled in February 2023 at an optimum degree called "Cœur de Fût".
It was in 2005 that Guilhem Grosperrin launched this new category which he called Cœurs de barrels. This is a range comprising cognacs reduced to their degree of balance. This balance would generally be between 46° and 55°. The reduction of these eaux-de-vie is carried out in several stages and over several years in order to obtain the “objective degree” which is initially set during a tasting before the very first reduction .
