Canadou sugar syrup

Canadou sugar syrup is made from cane sugar. Originally, sugar cane is pressed to obtain a juice called "vesou" (which is also the raw material for rhum agricole). This vesou is filtered and then heated to transform it into syrup. This same syrup is then heated once again to crystallize the sugar. The crystallized cane sugar is then more or less refined, which explains the difference between white and brown syrup.

To make cane sugar syrup, crystallized cane sugar is combined with water, then the mixture is heated very quickly to a very high temperature (flash pasteurization).

Canadou Organic sugar syrup is made fromorganically grown sugar cane.

Use Canadou sugar syrup

Canadou sugar syrup lends itself particularly well to rum-based cocktails, but not only! You can use it in a Piña Colada, a Daïquiri or a Planteur, as well as a Gin Fizz or a Margarita.

The advantage of this syrup is its high sweetening power, but also its ease of dilution and mixing. It's a natural choice for cocktails that require a smooth, velvety texture, like the Planteur. Read less
