Daftmill is a family farm located in Scotland's Lowlands. The farm produces carrots, broccoli and potatoes, as well as cereals (notably Publican barley). The farm is also home to a beef cattle farm.

In 2003, Francis and Ian Cuthbert decided to restore the old mill buildings and turn them into a distillery.
On December 16, 2005, they produced their first whisky. The whisky was launched on the market in May 2018.

The distillery's operation is based on the farm's agricultural activity. In the winter months, Francis and Ian make their whisky, as there is less to do on the farm. In spring, however, they sow barley, plant potatoes and look after the livestock. This way of working, which used to be the norm in Scotland, explains why production is limited to around a hundred casks a year. Read less
