La rivière des créoles is above all a story of love and family. A love for his island first and foremost: Stéphane L'éveillé, its creator, grew up surrounded by sugar cane on the land of his ancestors. He carries with him the taste of freshly-cut sugar cane that he and his friends used to put in their mouths as children after hot school days.

Stéphane has passionately educated his palate to the pleasures of sun-drenched rums from Mauritius. He has taken his time to craft each rum to his exacting standards.
