AllPossibleDaiquiris River N° 003 is a ready-to-drink cocktail created by Verso, an Italian house founded by two expert mixologists passionate about rum.
With this range, their aim is to revisit the daiquiri, a cocktail discovered in Cuba by Ernest Hemingway at the beginning of the 20th century.
This variant, called "#thelostdaiquiri", is made with rum from the Rivers Antoine distillery. The distillery is located in the north of Grenada. It is powered solely by a water mill, with no electricity, and the cane juice is gravity-fed. It is fermented using techniques that have now disappeared, before being distilled in a wood-fired still. For this daiquiri, Rivers Antoine rum is blended with organic lime juice and organic cane syrup.
The bottle should be kept in a cool place, ready for tasting.
Yoann's tasting notes
The nose of this cocktail does not deceive us, the lime is very present. He confirms that we are indeed facing a Daiquiri. A slight herbaceous, almost medicinal side remains in the background. It is coated in a fine veil of smoke.
The mouth is buttery and very marked by the rum from the River Antoine distillery. Notes of waxes accompany the juicy lime which was present on the nose. The herbaceous side asserts itself with bay leaves present. This whole ensemble tends towards spicy notes of cardamom and cumin which recall the Baharat spice blend.
The finish , moderately long, remains on the citrus fruits of which the lime proudly sits in the center of the assembly.
