White agricultural rum from Guadeloupe, coconut, a Bourbon vanilla pod, spices and honey: these are the ingredients of this Arawak Coco Vanille Miel rhum arrangé.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose immediately reveals the opulence of full-fat coconut, rich and sweet. The honey adds to the generosity and the vanilla caresses the nose, quickly fulfilling the promise. As time goes by, the rum becomes softer, almost cottony, extremely round and delicious. Coconut never relinquishes its pride of place.
On the palate, the roundness is not as pronounced as one might have expected, but the sweetness is there. There's also more of a rum flavor, which blends very naturally with the coconut. Vanilla veils the tongue, then honey appears on the finish, for a long, lingering finish.
