Bobby's Gin is made with the spices traditionally used in gin (Cinnamon, Juniper, Rosehip, Fennel) and spices found in Indonesia that are part of the history of the gin's creator (Lemongrass, Clove, Coriander and Cubeb).
The spices used to make this gin are all organically grown.
Tasting notes from Thomas
The nose will undoubtedly delight lemongrass lovers. Citrus fruits fill the air, moving from vegetal to confectionery in the blink of an eye. Gradually, a heavier atmosphere sets in (lemon candles) as spices join the ensemble. Clove, juniper, cola leaf and coriander are delivered sparingly. Delicious scents of lightly aniseed-flavored Thai broth take over after a few minutes.
The texture on the palate is very round. Notes of lemongrass and lemon (candle, plant, confectionery, candied fruit) stand out and carry plenty of freshness. A little spiciness returns (clove in particular), accompanied by fresh herbs (coriander, cola). Cardamom returns to the fore just before the finish. This mouthful of flavor is invigorating.
The finish is refreshing, with the aforementioned citrus but also a green aspect: cut grass, coriander, cardamom, juniper. The black pepper and citrus notes linger on the palate for a long time.
