This Don Papa Gayuma aged rum is made in the Philippines. Local molasses is fermented and then distilled. The rum is then aged for 7 years in ex-bourbon American oak barrels.
The Gayuma cuvée is then matured in two successive stages:
- the first 6-month finish is carried out in ex-Rioja wine casks
- the rum is then transferred to old Islay peated whisky casks for 3 months
