Ferroni Juillet Nord is a juniper, considered the ancestor of gin. It is a grain brandy flavored with juniper berries during distillation.
A total of four distillation stages are required to produce this genever. The mash is composed of barley, rye and oats. An aromatic bouquet is added during the fourth distillation stage. It is made from fresh jenever hand-harvested in Picardy and aromatic plants from Provence, harvested on the Château des Creissauds estate in Aubagne.
This powerful, aromatic recipe was developed by Guillaume Ferroni in collaboration with the Persyn distillery. Founded in 1812, Persyn is the last distillery to use a traditional, artisanal method to produce its genever.
