Ferroni La Dame Jeanne 8 Guadeloupe 57°: Description and customer reviews

Ferroni La Dame Jeanne 8 Guadeloupe is an agricultural rum made from a single variety of sugar cane: red cane. Distilled in a copper Creole column, this is a typically Guadeloupean rum, reflecting the rich terroir of its native island. At the Château des Creissauds in Aubagne, he continued to soak up the sun in Dames Jeannes, subjected to the heat of the south. This rest allowed him to round out, harmonize and develop an exceptional gourmet taste.

Nico's tasting notes

The nose opens with ripe, round cane, and a mellow, cottony fiber. This is an almost brioche-like rhum agricole that never forgets its vegetal, finely peppery character.

Aeration gives a further boost to our rum, which once again plunges its roots into its terroir. A few earthy notes give way to the peppery bark of a cane with hints of fermentation. After this boost, we're back to our full, brioche-like roundness, but now with a foundation of character.

The palate is an agricultural rum delight, with a fatty texture that immediately coats the taste buds, giving way to a simply delightful intensity. It's the fresh cane that wakes up the taste buds, energetically rubbing them with peppercorns.

The finish leads naturally to the heart of the fermented cane juice, with almost iodized notes that never leave the palate.

"A very complete rhum agricole, as round as it is authentic and intense..."
