Pastis du Panier is made with fresh herbs, spices and citrus fruits: bay leaf, rosemary, thyme, mastic, lemon verbena, sage, fresh lemongrass, wormwood, lemon and citrus zest, green anise, fennel, caraway, pandan, kaffir lime, mace and tonka bean! Star anise, licorice and Mediterranean and exotic spices complete the recipe.
This pastis comes from a project led by Guillaume Ferroni in the Panier district, the oldest district of Marseille , in which the residents of the district are fully involved: “All the fresh aromatic plants that will go into the composition are grown and harvested on the terraces, the windowsills and in the inner courtyards of the buildings. They are then brought to the shop, where they are exchanged for an exclusive vintage as well as a donation made to associations committed to greening the district,” explains Guillaume Ferroni.
