Les Arrangés Chatel Secret d'Épices is a pure product of La Réunion. This island, the birthplace of rhum arrangé, is still home to several distilleries, as well as old liquor houses like Chatel.
This rhum arrangé is based on a rum from the Savanna distillery. A blend of fruits, vanilla and other spices, as well as natural plant extracts and cane sugar, have been macerated. The 40% of this delicacy gives it enough power to be enjoyed frosted.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose of this rhum arrangé surprises with an unusual and intriguing profile. Its almost woody, spicy character overshadows a certain roundness, with the help of oily citrus peel. Its sweetness asserts itself over time, reminding us of barley sugar or cane sugar syrup.
The palate is round, but also carried away by a certain warm/cool spiciness. Some citrus peel reinforces this impression of freshness, while adding a very gourmand, almost candy-like quality.
"A very gourmand arrangé with an intriguing profile, between spices and citrus fruits..."

By far my favourite rum, but be careful, it goes down like a shot.

Too sweet, less subtle, but decent value for money.
