This Mezan Guatemala 2013 rum is produced by Botran from virgin cane honey.
Cane honey is obtained by evaporating fresh sugarcane juice over a period of about 3 days, using continuous heating.
Fermented with indigenous yeasts from pineapple cultivation, then distilled in 2013 in a double-column still, this cane brandy is aged for 4 years in the tropics, then 6 years on the European continent. Aged for a total of 10 years, this rum is aged entirely in ex-bourbon American white oak barrels.
The wine was bottled in 2023 without coloring, adding sugar or cold filtering.
