Mezan Jamaica 2010 is a 12-year-old Jamaican molasses rum, distilled at Monymusk in the parish of Clarendon. Built in 1949 in the south of the country, Clarendon is owned by the National Rum of Jamaica and part-owned by Ferrand.
After distillation in 2010 in column stills, this rum underwent a double maturation process. It was aged on site for 3 years, then in Europe for the following 9 years, in ex-bourbon oak barrels.
Mezan enhances the value of its rums by bottling them without sweetening, coloring or cold filtration. 5500 bottles of this rum were bottled in 2022.
