Monymusk Special Gold is a blend of rums aged in oak barrels for several years.
Column distillation, for the most part, gives this rum a light style, ideal for making cocktails.
Nico's tasting note
The nose opens with a relatively light rum, yet with a certain funky and fruity edge. The lighter, floral notes come up against a growing edifice of ripe exotic fruit, caressed by a touch of vanilla.
The aeration reveals a softly pastry-like side, already started by vanilla. It unfolds on a frail and white almond, blond grapes, tea, and a fat tobacco but still a little green.
The palate is soft, with a light touch and a slightly more organic character than that announced on the nose. The long molasses fermentation is noticeable, a bit animal and iodized (olive brine). The rum is round and rather fatty, and the exotic fruits are a bit wiser.
The finish is round, the pastry side now touching more on candied fruits.
"A Jamaican rum that honours its tradition, but with a certain lightness that makes it a rather delicate ingredient in cocktails..."
Thibaud

Nothing to complain about! Pleasant taste! A little light for those who like stronger spirits!

Very good sample. We discovered Jamaican rum, which we really enjoyed. We recommend it.
