The whole cinnamon sticks used as a base for this Oksen rhum macéré artisanal come exclusively from Madagascan agricultural cooperatives selected for the quality of their products, but also on the basis of criteria of environmental preservation and respect for farmers. The rum is agricultural rum from Martinique. At the end of the maceration process, a touch of cane sugar is added, and cold filtration is carried out.
While cinnamon (and rum...) enthusiasts will drink it neat, cocktail lovers can use it as an ingredient in an original composition.
Oksen Cinnamon Macerated Rum won the Gold Medal at the 2014 Madrid International Tasting Competition.
Laurent's tasting notes
Her dress is amber.
Cinnamon on the nose! It's really the only element that comes through, very intensely, to the point where this macerated rum is almost spicy.
On the palate, cinnamon unsurprisingly dominates, but rum makes an appearance and finds its place. Balanced and round on the palate.
The finish is also marked by cinnamon.

Rhum arrangé cinnamon. Not different from what you can get yourself with 1 cinnamon stick in 1 agricultural rum in a few days. Too sweet.

We tasted this free sample. Very good. We'll buy some for our next order.
