Squadron 303 Vodka Peated “The Peatfire” is the result of a collaboration with London-based distillery Bimber. Founded in 2015, this house produces primarily single malt whisky. A few limited editions in its range feature peaty expressions.
From these experiments was born the idea for this peaty vodka. For this creation, the potatoes are dried by peat fire, like barley for whisky production. For its vodka, Squadron 303 uses only one variety of potato, the King Edward. It has the particularity of being oily and rich in starch. These characteristics allow it to capture more of the smoky flavor of the peat.
This expression does not benefit from any passage in wood. Squadron 303 innovates with a distillate with peaty/smoky notes rather than wood.
