Sixty Six

Doorly's, Rum Sixty Six, RL Seale and Foursquare are rum brands originating in Barbados and owned by the family-owned RL Seale Co. Ltd.
Its rums draw their character from the fertile soil of this Lesser Antilles island.

The company benefits from the centuries of experience of the Foursquare distillery in charge of production. This unit was founded in the 17th century as a sugar mill, later replaced by a distillery with column stills. It is one of the oldest distilleries in the Caribbean.

Over the centuries, the site has been modernised. The family company itself was founded in 1926. The family is renowned for its knowledge of the art of blending, which has been passed down through the generations.

Today, RL Seale retains its independence from the large production groups, ensuring that it can experiment with authentic blends that showcase the richness of Barbados.

Two types of stills are used today: a three-column still which produces light style rums, and a repasse still which gives a more powerful style.
After reduction and ageing in oak casks, the rums are bottled without the addition of colouring or other additives, which in the world of traditional rum is no small thing and guarantees an authentic taste. Read less
