Aberlour 18 ans is presented here in its double sherry cask version. Initially, this single malt is aged for 18 years in American oak casks (ex-bourbon) and European oak casks (Ex-Oloroso).
Graeme Cruickshank, Aberlour's Master Distiller, oversees the double finish of this cuvée. Once the different barrels have been blended, a first run is made in Pedro-Ximénez Sherry casks. This is followed by a second finish in first-fill Sherry Oloroso casks.
Maturation in Sherry casks adds further complexity to this exceptional 18-year-old single malt.
