Bacardi Gold is one of the most popular amber rums in the world. It is a blend of several rums all column distilled and aged for 3 to 5 years.
It is widely used by bartenders in all countries to make the Cuba Libre or the Piña Colada.
Nico's tasting note
The first nose is very light, with floral and slightly fruity notes. The wood is also light, covered with a caramel varnish. Some spices come to perfume this woody, vanilla in the lead. It is soft but not too round, one does not perceive too much sweetness.
Aeration exposes a rather dry and strongly toasted woodiness. It has a straw, wood fire and almost earthy quality. Resting brings back sweetness, vanilla and caramel, but the profile remains very light.
The palate is very light and quite round. The rum is fluid and vanilla-like, with a slight touch of wood and caramel.
The finish comes back on slightly spicy alcoholic notes.
"The few years spent in cask bring a little wood and vanilla to your classic Bacardi..."
Josiane
It is a rum that can be drunk on a daily basis without reaching any heights.

A classic rum with no particular interest. But this is only a personal opinion.

Well, no opinion on the quality/price ratio as it was a sample
So as they say, it's better when it's free!
