Bunnahabhain Stiuireadair, pronounced “stew-rahdur,” is the first edition to pay tribute to the man featured on every bottle of the brand.
Indeed Stiuireadair translates to helmsman in Scots Gaelic. The helmsman is the person who holds the helm on a ship.
The master blender selects first and second fill sherry casks. These casks of different ages come from different locations in the distillery’s coastal cellars. The aim of this selection is to recreate a “sea storm” in each glass.
