Dictador 100 Months Claro was first column distilled, then aged in ex-bourbon oak casks for over 8 years (solera method).
It was then filtered to make it clearer, without losing any of the aromas acquired during ageing (notably vanilla). This clear color makes it ideal for cocktails.
It can also be enjoyed neat or with an ice cube.
Nico's tasting notes
In short: very light - vanilla - sugar
The nose is very discreet, with a light vanilla sweetness. Filtration has created a very subdued atmosphere, where aromas of caramel, molasses, roasting and sugar follow one another without jostling or sparking.
On the palate, the rum is just as smooth and fluid. The vanilla glides over a fine carpet of spices. The caramel and toasted notes also come through without a hitch: this is an "extra smooth" rum.

lacks character if consumed "on its own" and not in cocktails
duval
I haven't tasted it yet, so my opinion is a little biased.

sample offered but we didn't like it at all
Frédéric KACZMAREK
It was just a sample, so I couldn't really make up my mind, but it was pleasant to drink.
