This Hampden 5 year 2017 DOK rum is a Habitation Velier bottling from the famous Jamaican distillery in the parish of Trelawny.
Distilled in a double-twisted pot still, this rum was aged for 5 years in ex-bourbon casks in the tropics. It bears the DOK mark with 3045 g/hlap of volatile substances (congeners), including 1223.8 g/hlap of esters. This mark corresponds to the distillery's heaviest rum. Its ester content at distillation was between 1,400 and 1,800 g/hlap.
The tropical climate resulted in a 34% angels' share.
