Maison La Mauny, through its Cellar Master Daniel Baudin, is joining forces with the Confrérie du Rhum to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the famous Facebook group!
This rum is the result of a selection made by Benoît Bail and Jerry Gitany in the cellars of the La Mauny distillery.
The eau-de-vie in question comes from the distillation of pure cane juice. The cane was harvested in 2018 on the red soil of Rivière-Pilote.
For ageing, small ex-bourbon retoasted casks were selected, which also contained rum from the distillery.
The 3-year aging process took place in the wettest cellar.
The two selected casks were blended to produce 490 units.
