Plantation Rum El Salvador 2015 is a vintage from the “Single Cask 2023” collection. The Dutch distributor Right Spirit is behind the selection of cask #14 presented here.
This bottling comes from the distillation of a fermented molasses then distilled by Ingenio La Cabana Distillery in El Salvador.
This is a rum from the 2015 vintage which has benefited from double aging. First of all, it aged for 5 years in the tropics in bourbon barrels before spending 2 additional years in the Maison Ferrand cellars in old cognac barrels. Finally, it spent an additional year for a “finish” in a barrel of red Pineau des Charentes.
