Plantation Rum Sealander is a blend of rums created by Ferrand. For 25 years, Plantation has been crossing the oceans and selecting rums from around the world to offer quality bottlings.
For this anniversary, they have selected casks from 3 origins. They include the WIRD distilleries from Barbados, Saint Aubin from Mauritius and Rum Co. of Fiji from the Fiji archipelago.
The rums are made from molasses and pure cane juice, and have been distilled in columns and pot stills after fermentations ranging from 3 days to 3 weeks. Each rum is aged in bourbon barrels in the tropics, before being blended in Cognac.
To give this rum the benefit of the Plantation teams' expertise in double aging, this blend was matured for a year in ex-Ferrand cognac casks.
