Six Saints Grenada Rum Madeira Finish 41.7°: Description and customer reviews

Six Saints Grenada Rum Madeira Finish is a molasses rum distilled on the island of Grenada. It takes its name from the 6 Saints, the island's patron saints. First aged for 3 to 5 years in ex-bourbon casks, it is then matured in Madeira wine casks.

This limited edition comes from a single barrel.

Nico's tasting notes

The light nose of this rum rides a wave of yellow fruits and flowers, gliding over a reef of toasted oak. When the wave runs aground, it bursts into tangy, almost fizzy fruit, then leaves a mellow slick of vanilla.

Aeration brings us a new wave of soft, nougat-like wood. It has accents of coconut and vanilla-flavored blond tobacco.

The palate is both round and roasted, allowing us to admire the softness of the wood while discovering its toasted surface. Fluffy vanilla and coconut swell mid-palate like a marshmallow, then burst into simmering spice.

The finish is round, lightly toasted and perfumed with sweet spices.

"A rum that offers us several experiences in one, switching several times from roundness to saucy spices..."

If you like it, we recommend :

  • A very rounded agricultural rum, aged in Madeira casks...
  • The same rum finished in sherry casks...
