Beenleigh 10 ans 2013 is a molasses rum from Australia, more specifically from the Beenleigh distillery in Queensland. Founded in 1884, it is the country's oldest distillery.
The rum traditionally produced here is very special. It is first distilled in a column, then a second time in a traditional copper pot still. The name of this still is "The Old Copper", similar to those found in Guyana at Demerara Distillers Ltd.
Aging was carried out in old first-fill bourbon casks. These casks were stored for 10 years in the distillery's cellars, located in a region with a tropical climate.
The proportion of angels in this vintage is over 25%.
