Roots is the name of this single malt whisky expression from the Micro Cuvée collection launched by the Waterford distillery. This selection is an edition of the Foundations catalogue.
This whisky is produced from a blend of single malts aged in 3 types of casks:
- 26% bourbon barrels,
- 24% new American oak barrels,
- and 50% old Bordeaux red wine barrels.
The name “Racines” is a nod that perfectly illustrates the link between Mark Reynier, the founder of Waterford, and the world of wine.
The label is signed by artist Julie Lansom. The nuances of Ireland are translated into a color palette according to the principle of synesthesia.
