Barcelo

Barcelo & Co is a distillery located in the Dominican Republic. Founded in 1930 by Dom Julian Barcelo in Santo Domingo, the brand quickly became known locally and in the 1980s became the largest seller of rum in the country. During this decade, Barcelo Imperial was awarded the distinction of best rum in the world by the Beverage Testing Institute of Chicago.

In 1992, Barcelo & Co set out to conquer the international market. The brand is now sold in more than 50 countries.

Barcelo produces rums made from fermented cane juice and distilled in four state-of-the-art column stills. Aging is carried out in oak barrels. The meeting of tradition and innovative technologies results in the conception of exceptional rums. Read less
