Presidente Marti

The Quorhum, Presidente Marti and Opthimus brands were created by Oliver & Oliver.

Its founder, Juanillo Oliver, a Spaniard by birth, first established his company in Cuba. In 1963, Oliver & Oliver moved to the Dominican Republic.

Today, the distillery is based in rural Santo Domingo, where it produces rums aged in American and French oak barrels using the "solera" technique. This technique involves blending old and not-so-old rums and aging them together in successive stages: the age indicated on the bottle is that of the oldest rum in the blend. Read less
