Corryvreckan, meaning 'cauldron of bubbling water', is a strait between the Scottish islands of Jura and Scarba. It is known for being home to the third largest maelstrom (a whirlpool) in the world.
Launched in 2008, this is a staple of the classic Ardbeg range. At the 2010 World Whiskies Awards, Corryvreckan was recognized as the world's best single malt.
