This Grosperrin 50 ans Bons Bois cognac has been selected in the cellars of a family of merchants who have been in business for several generations. It remained in the commune where it was produced for 50 years, until Jean Grosperrin became the owner. Since then, it has been stored in a state-controlled general store.
Grosperrin certifies that this cognac has been carbon-14 dated by a laboratory of the Centre National de Recherche Scientifique. The archives tracing its history have been scrupulously checked, enabling us to affirm a minimum of 50 years in barrels, the time required for a cognac to reach maturity.
This very old cognac has been bottled brut de fût, i.e. without any reduction in alcohol content. Each bottle is numbered.
