Miracielo is a spiced wine produced in Guatemala by the same distillery that produces Botran.
The recipe for this spiced rum dates back to 1953: an artisanal maceration of fresh plums, raisins and vanilla. Small quantities are produced.
The bottle is particularly meticulous, with a hand-crafted leather collar.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose is light but rather fragrant, with a resinous, vegetal tendency. Caramel and vanilla from the toasted cask add roundness and a certain sweetness. A few ethereal touches fly over the glass, with accents of fresh fruit (lychees) and flowers.
Aeration reveals a rounder, tangier aspect, with a good bouquet of sweet spices such as cinnamon and vanilla. The fruit has also gained in stature, with a fairly generous core, quickly coated in cane sugar syrup.
The palate is round and delicately savory, with light roasted aromas (coffee, molasses, roasted nuts) and sweet spices (vanilla, cinnamon). There's a certain warmth in the mid-palate, with alcohol dressed up in spices.
The finish is round, with a fruitiness that leans towards the confectionery side.
