Nico's tasting notes
On the nose, it's the power that speaks in the first moments. For the moment, the rum is fairly light, floral, with white fruits and acidic alcohol. Then the flowers become more heady, intense and tightly wound. Geranium and concentrated essential oils come to mind.
The aeration does not fail to unleash a few ethereal flights of fancy, underlined by a slightly sharp metallic edge. Then, behind a small curtain of almond milk, we make out a rather distant tropical fruit party, heard for the moment in muted tones.
On the palate, power vies with fatness, but ends up violently conquering the palate. Tart exotic fruits explode on the palate, dispersing and leaving a few metallic sparks. After a floral flight, the rum gains a pastry-like sweetness of almond, stone, bread resin and cream.
The finish is warm and greedy, but doesn't hold the taste buds hostage for too long.
"A well-balanced overproof, with a fairly round attack on the palate, just waiting to express its greediness..."
