Benromach
Benromach is a Scottish distillery located on Speyside.
It was founded in 1898 by The Benromach Distillery Company, at a time when the whisky industry was in full swing. However, the first distillation did not take place until 1900.
At the same time, production is marked by inconsistency. Benromach regularly changed owners, and whisky production was irregular.
Eventually, it fell into the hands of the giant DCL (Distillers Company Limited).
Sadly, like many Scottish distilleries, Benromach closed its doors in 1983.
Then, in 1993, the independent bottler Gordon & Macphail took over. 5 years later, after an overhaul of the manufacturing process, whisky production resumed. A year later, a visitor center was built.
Finally, the new range begins in 2009 with a 10-year Benromach. Building on its success, this was followed by the 10yo 100 proof, the Peat Smoke, the 15yo, theOrganic, the Triple Distilled and the 35yo. Read less
