Rom De Luxe Collectors No 12 Guyana is a molasses rum produced by the Diamond distillery. The distillery is located along the Demerara River, not far from the capital Georgetown.
The rum was distilled from molasses in a pot still in June 2006. This still, named Versailles, is, along with the Port Mourant, one of the last wooden stills still in operation.
The mark for this distillate is REV. Aging took place in an American barrel that had once contained bourbon. The rum remained there for 16 years, in a tropical and then continental climate.
It was bottled in September 2022 by Rom de Luxe in Denmark.
This unique cask, number 29, has not been reduced and has produced 252 bottles.
