SBS, which translates to “Single Barrel Selection,” is a collection of rums from single barrels from importer 1423 World Class Spirits.
This is a molasses rum distilled in a column and pot still. A famous distillery in Barbados has accustomed us to this type of blend, it is likely that this vintage is the result.
This rum was aged in bourbon and port barrels. It was bottled in August 2024, without chill filtration, in only 389 copies.
Joshua's Tasting Note from 1423 Spirits
Nose: Juicy melon and rich molasses mingle with the earthy aroma of tobacco, enhanced by the sweetness of ripe grapes.
Palate: A delicious explosion of sweet red berries and creamy caramel, followed by a dry, lingering finish of oak and creamy vanilla.
