Located in the heart of the small West Indian island of Marie-Galante, the Bielle distillery was created in the 19th century on the site of a former sugar refinery.

Located in the heart of the small West Indian island of Marie-Galante, the Bielle distillery was created in the 19th century on the site of a former sugar refinery.

Founded by the eponymous family, it subsequently passed through the hands of various families, and today belongs to the Paul Rameaux family.
Perpetuating centuries-old Caribbean traditions, the small company produces agricultural rum and liqueurs.  

The distillery takes full advantage of the sunny climate of the West Indies to increase the sugar concentration of its cane and mature its vintages. It now uses phytomediation techniques to reduce the environmental impact of vinasse treatment (water purification by natural ecosystems). Read less
