This barrel n°65 comes from the very first aging carried out by Karukera. From year to year, the cellar master has noted the exceptional character of the rum aged in this French oak barrel.
It is the angels' part that brought this single cask to its bottling strength of 48.3°, and it is therefore a cask strength.
Each bottle is numbered and presented in a case made from French oak, in homage to the barrel that housed this precious eau-de-vie for 11 years.
Tasting notes
Pending our own tasting note, here are the aromas noted by the importer: a nose of candied oranges, sugarcane and spices; a complex, warm, exotic and mineral palate, with sweet spices; a long, fresh finish.
