Mhoba Pot Stilled White Rum is a pure South African cane juice rum.
Like all the other rums in the range, it has been distilled twice in pot stills.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose is swept away by a wave of solvent very typical of the distillery, and which undoubtedly evolves in the realm of nail polish remover. Yet the charm is inevitable, thanks to the exoticism that soon emerges from this first impression. A host of exotic fruits arrive in a cheerful, colorful fanfare.
Aeration doesn't allow the solvent to weaken, but it continues to carry a bevy of exotic fruits, this time accompanied by a sweet, candied cane juice.
The palate is pleasantly round, and ultimately very clement. The exotic fruits are so ripe they've all gone into fermentation, developing full-bodied, slightly sour flavors. The cane still manages to make its presence felt, and we'd have wished it hadn't, so round and luscious is it.
The finish emphasizes this ripe, round cane. Its juice is slightly cooked and thick, pure and devoid of its faithful pepper and lime.
"A very smooth rum despite its exuberant character, perfect for discovering the Mhoba style..."

Very specific but works very well for me.
