Saint Aubin Cœur de Chauffe Épicé is first distilled in "Pot Still", in the same way as extra premium white rum.
It's thanks to this type of alembic that cœur de chauffe rum, from which the beginning and end of the distillate has been removed, is so expressive.
Tropical spices macerate in this "extra premium" rum. Cane sugar is added to the preparation, and nothing else!
A slight deposit may appear at the bottom of the bottle, testifying to the artisanal and natural character of this rum.
Nico's tasting notes
On the nose, Christmas spices ring in the bells. We find a gourmet syrup of cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom, with a bold orange zest that has diffused its sweetness and bitterness. This rum has a serious pastry flavour, reminiscent of the syrups we make for babas.
The palate is warm and one might say festive, with a colorful cocktail of spices. The nose is less Christmassy and more reminiscent of beachside cocktails. Orange peel has taken on a more prominent role, transforming itself into a seductive liqueur. The spices linger on the palate for a long time, and you can even taste their different textures.
"A rather sweet and syrupy spiced rum, with natural spices..."
